PUC - Bibliocabina project

The "Pacts for Employment and/or Social Inclusion" is an initiative targeting the beneficiaries of the Citizenship Income, requiring them to engage in activities in their municipality for at least 8 hours a week, extendable up to 16. The Municipal Administration has launched various projects in areas such as the environment, social issues, protection of common goods, and culture, sometimes collaborating with Third Sector Entities. Among these, the Trevessu association presented the "Bibliocabina Project", approved by the Municipality of Iglesias in 2021.

The "Bibliocabina Project" aims to strengthen the social inclusion plan by involving participants in educational and practical activities. These activities include teaching the use of computers and social media as communicative and promotional tools for the project. Two Trevessu tutors, experts in digital, social, and professional fields, conducted the lessons, imparting a holistic understanding of the project, its dynamics, goals, and the potential of digital and communication tools.

The lessons were structured into three two-hour sessions, following a specific program:

  • "The Computer and the Power of the Network" – exploring cases and examples of social engagement generated by the network and social media.
  • "Facebook and Instagram" – understanding the nature and functioning of social networks.
  • "Social Media Management" – learning to create and manage a Facebook page.

This project not only provided technical skills to the participants but also opened new perspectives for their social and professional integration, demonstrating the effectiveness of using social media in promoting community initiatives.
