From April 23 to 25, 2016, Piazza Pichi in Iglesias was the stage for a unique cultural event, the "Book Fair," organized by the Argonautilus association. The Trevessu association joined this event, contributing with an innovative activity named “1010 ways to buy a book without money.” This international project introduced an original way to acquire books without using money.
The activity proposed by Trevessu invited participants to leave a book, assigning it a non-monetary "price." This price could be a specific action to be completed or a series of actions, such as "climb up the Buon Cammino hill and take a photo." Anyone interested in "buying" the book would have to "pay" the cost in terms of actions, as indicated by the book's donor.
This initiative created an interesting dynamic of cultural and social exchange, promoting not just reading but also the active and creative participation of citizens. The event transformed the purchase of books into an interactive and community experience, highlighting the intrinsic value of culture and human experiences beyond mere monetary value.
